The publisher of the Codemasters’ developed racing F1 games series, EA, has officially announced the latest installment on a recent post on X (formerly Twitter). In the announcement post, EA have confirmed the F1 24 Release Date. Scheduled for 31st May 2024, it is the earliest release date ever given for a Formula 1 game since the series first entered Codemasters’ hands 15 years ago.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Editions
With EA’s Twitter announcement, F1 24 has also now been listed for pre-order at all stores. This has confirmed that the game will feature on PS5, Xbox Series Consoles and PC as expected. Rather surprisingly however, EA and Codemasters have chosen to keep supporting the previous gen of consoles with PS4 and Xbox One edition’s available.
EA has teased that a full reveal of the game will come in April. However, the pre-order bonuses announced include extra goodies if you choose to take faith in the upcoming installment and order even earlier. If you choose to pre-order the Champions Edition by April 24th, over a month before the F1 24 Release Date on May 31st, then EA states you will receive the following limited time pre-order bonuses as well:
- Limited time bonus: McLaren, Williams, Alpine, & Haas ’24 liveries, plus the McLaren & Alpine F1® esports liveries, immediately in Time Trial in F1® 23
- Limited time bonus: McLaren & Alpine F1 esports liveries in F1® 24
- Limited time bonus: Second set of 2024 liveries in F1® 23 after April 24th
Further however, outside of the limited time bonuses above, all Champions Editions pre-orders will receive:
- F1® TV Pro 1-month Subscription (only available in USA)
- 3 Days Early Access
- Special Events with unlockable rewards (During Early Access Only)
- 1x VIP Podium Pass
- 2x New My Team Icons
- F1® World Bumper Pack
- 18,000 Pitcoins
Meanwhile, pre-orders of the standard edition will receive these pre-order bonuses:
- F1® World Starter Pack (Featuring 10,000 In-Game Cash and F1 World in-game resources)
- 5,000 PitCoin virtual currency to spend in-game
