Overwatch 2 Season 10 is going to change how cosmetics and battle pass system has worked since the launch of the game. The season 10 update is coming with an array of changes to quality-of-life, monetization and gameplay. The new season titled “Venture Forth” will release on April 16 on all platforms. Here’s how you can pre-download it.
How to Pre-Download Overwatch 2 Season 10 update
The pre-download is only possible via Battle.net launcher meaning if you are on console, PS5 or Xbox you won’t be able to grab the update before it officially drops on April 16, 2024. Pre-downloading the update on PC will ensure you get into the game quickly when Overwatch Season 10 goes live. Follow the step by step guide below to get started.
- Start Battle.net launcher on your PC and sign in with your credentials.
- Head over to the games section and click on Overwatch.
- Click on “Download Pre-Release Content.” on bottom left corner of the screen.
The pre-download size is approximately 3.3 GB. Once the download is complete the green text should read, “Pre-release content downloaded”
Overwatch 2 Season 10 Mythic Skin & Battle Pass
Overwatch 2 Season 10 Battle Pass will feature Mercy Mythic skin along with Talon, Null Sector, and Ishkar customization options. The new battle pass is based on “Mirrorwatch event” where heroes and villains have switched sides in an alternate universe, hence the Mythic Vengeance Mercy skin. Furthermore, all new heroes of past, present and future will be instantly playable as soon as the season drop on April 16. This also includes the new DPS unit Venture.
New Mythic Shop
From the start of Overwatch 2 Season 10 players will be able to purchase any mythic skin and its customizations from past seasons in the all new Mythic Shop. Purchasing skins from Mythic Shop will require a new currency known as “Mythic Prisms” which players will be able to earn from Premium Battle Pass. Completing a Premium Battle Pass will reward players with enough Mythic Prisms for one skin and all of its customizations. As stated in dev blog this time the Mythic Shop will feature hero skins from Seasons 1 through 7 and the rest seasonal skins will be made available two seasons after their debut.
Overwatch 2 New Hero Venture
Starting Season 10 – Venture will be joining the Overwatch 2 Hero roster as a DPS unit and will be available to all players as soon as the season goes live. Venture was available for limited access and from what we tested the hero seems to be close to mid-range fighter.
