With the release date for F1 24 just 10 days away now, EA has announced a special challenge series for players that pre-order the Champions Edition. While the game is set to release on May 31st, racing fanatics that choose to pre-order F1’s Champions Edition are granted 3 days of early access, allowing them to install and play the release from May 28th, as well as a variety of other pre-order bonuses.
Now, in a new video released by EA on their YouTube channel, the opportunity to unlock Max Verstappen’s 2024 helmet in F1 24 will also be available to those that pre-order the Championship Edition.
Exclusively occuring during the pre-order early access period, the new challenge series will feature 6 challenges to complete over 6 tracks. All 6 tracks are personally chosen by Max Verstappen, as 6 of his very favourite places to race at for F1 24 players to complete a series of challenges. EA’s video states that completing all 6 of the challenges will grant you the unlock of Max Verstappen’s 2024 Helmet in F1 24 and more. It is currently unconfirmed what the other unlockable items will be in the challenge series, but based on previous F1 game challenge events we can assume it’ll likely be a combination of cosmetics, Pitcoin and F1 World car upgrades.
Track Selection
The 6 tracks featured in the Max Verstappen 2024 Helmet Challenge are:
- Suzuka, Japan
- Imola, Italy
- Circuit Zandvoort, Netherlands
- Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
- Circuit of the Americas, United States
- Autodromo José Carlos Pace, Brazil
The track selection is certainly a great one, Max Verstappen has often talked in interviews about his dislike of some of the newer street tracks and his love of high-adrenaline classics, so it should come as no surprise that all 6 of his personal selections fall into this category. It is currently unconfirmed what the objectives to complete on each track will be for the challenge.
